We have been working with Windows PC’s and Mac’s for many years, over these years we have tried and tested numerous tools and utilities. Marc has put together a list of some of programs we recommend to our clients. We have also added links to these tools and utilities below, this way we can ensure you are taken to the correct website. In today’s world the number of fake and phishing sites is growing, and we have found by having a way to access these tools from a single location makes us more efficient. We also want to make sure that you avoid fake and phishing sites and get the right product the FIRST TIME.
AntiVirus
A fantastic antivirus for use on Windows PC’s. Sophos Home Premium an immediate Advanced Malware Removal to thoroughly clean your computer of any current malware infections.

Avast is another great product, I have used it on my Mac for years. Don’t believe that Mac’s never get viruses. I recommend this product for both Windows PC’s and Mac.
Cloud Backup
It is essential that you have an offsite backup plan. By having an offsite backup, it will allow you to restore all your precious data quickly and easily. Don’t ever make the mistake of not backing up.

Acronis True Image Cloud is another Cloud based backup. It is easy to use and reasonably priced. When it comes to a cloud backup, it does not matter who you keep it with, as long as you can use the simple user interface.
AntiSpyware
SUPERAntiSpyware is one of the must have products. It will find and remove all sorts of bad things on your computer. It is cheap and very reliable. You can also use the free version and just run scans manually.

MalwareBytes is another fantastic product. The free version is great and you can run scans manually, however, for total protection get the paid version. It will actively monitor your computer for unwanted threats and stop them before they become active.

CCleaner is a great tool for cleaning up the unwanted and left behind files that accumulate on your computer from surfing the web and general use. It is simple to use and does the job very well. Another must have program.

AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer. By using AdwCleaner you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.
Remote Support
TeamViewer is a fantastic product if you need remote support. Even if you just want to access your computer at home from work or whilst you are out and about it is another great tool.
